can't see timing marks... confirm with these pictures

so i hope thats the right spot where im supposed to be shooting the timing gun right? the hole right above the engine number on the block?

so hopefully, if that is the correct spot... when my engine is on and i shoot the timing gun in there... i cant see any white or red marks what so ever like the helm specifies... i am supposed to do it with the engine on right? and to adjust, i adjust the dizzy with the engine on as well? but either way, i still cant see any markings, thats what it looks like all the time when my engine is running while i shine the light on it... any ideas? thanks guys
Yeah, that's the spot. Try looking for the markings while the car is off by hand rotating the engine and see how close/far off the marks are so you can have something to reference from.

No, I mean put a wrench on the crank pulley bolt and rotate the whole engine.

If you put a wrench on the crank pulley bolt (19mm) and turn it you can turn the crank by hand. This way you can manually find TDC and the timing marks. This has always been important to me when I replace timing belts and such. It will help you to just get a refence point.....

ohh ic, just to clarify... turn the crank manually by loosening the 19mm crank pulley bolt and just keep on turning it till i can see the white/red mark through that little window? and once i do find the marks then what? tighten the bolt back up and just turn the car on and then go on from there with the timing adjustment? ill try to find this bolt on my own first, but a quick heads up reference to where it is would be nice hehe.. .thanks boss =p

DO NOT LOOSEN IT! It is torqued-the-**** on there very tight so that the engine can be rotated and the bolt not come off. Just rotate the engine, don't loosen anything.
As for location, if you still have fender liners, there is a hole just for doing this in the drivers side liner. I think there's a little arrow and stuff in there.....

Ehh....you should be able to get it behind the wheel. I've actually had a shop undo my crank pulley with an impact just reaching under the wheel well with the gun.
hmmm alright... im tring to picture this in my head... i put a wrench over the bolt and i can actually rotate it, without loosening it right (still a little oblivious to its location)? and i just keep on rotating it till i see the timing marks in that little window?
ok cool... see the lines... i want to adjust it so the 0 on the flywheel is inbetween the > correct?... on my timing gun, i have this dial on the back from 0 to 60... and it says degrees advance. do i just turn this dial until i see the 0 steady on the flywheel in between the > ?
stock timing spec is 15 degress +/- 2 degrees... so on your timing gun you should set it for 15 degrees, then go back and forth with the dial a degree at a time until you see the timing mark with the light. Then you can loosen and rotate your distributor to adjust the timing.
hmmm... all i have on the gun is the **** on the back of it from 0-60 degrees advance... not quite sure what you mean set it at 15? so i set the **** to 15 before i shoot it, and if i cant see the timing mark still, i just keep rotating the **** on my gun correct?... cuz when i do rotate the **** i can eventually see the mark... i just dont quite understand from there how i set the timing to 15... thanks for all the help guys. sorry just trying to understand how i t all works
set timing to 15 means there's a mark on it that show a number 15. i'm not sure but i can see those 3 marks with a 15 in the middle. think it's 15 or 75. i'm not sure.

ive been reading im suppoed to see red and white markings... but i cant notice any colors on those markings other then the grooves that are made in the flywheel
