Need to Open her up .. (exaust question)
So I just got done dropping a full MSD setup on my 97 Accord, and frankly for a stock exaust she sounds mean ...
Well Im lagging a bit in the lower RPM so the logical step would be to open her up (Intake and Exaust). I have the Intake picked out but as for the exaust I just cant decide.
So this is why I come to you guys. I need stainless (rust prevention) and I dont want that annoying coffee can sound (come on you know what im talking about). Id really like to hide the muffler as best as I can so its just the tip exposed from the back.
What do you guys think ?

It's going to be hard to avoid the bean can sound on your car with any full exhaust, unfortunately thats just the way it goes with your platform (and most small hondas)...i've heard good things about custom built magnaflow setups, and their fairly cheap, can be hidden easily but as far as quality, i dont have a clue, its just things ive read in the past...muffler shops can put together setups for your car and retain resonators so that it isnt so loud...but i guess you have to ask yourself just how important is that extra 1-2hp in comparison to what you want to spend...
btw...what exactly did you put on your car from MSD that made it sound mean?

Personally, I vote for the APEXi World Sport 2. I have it on my Civic and it has a nice and low tone at normal driving but gets a little louder at WOT and deffinately no "buzzing bee" sound. I've heard from others with Accords and the WS2 that it sounds basically the same on their car.
But go read through the link up top, maybe that will give you some other ideas.

im pretty sure pacesetter has a set up like your wanting just looks like a normal exhaust tip sticking out from the bumper
but i dont know anyone who has had any pacesetter exhaust products or any products at that
http://www.autopartswarehouse....=1995#
this is aluminized which will rust with time
and if you got to a muffler shop that claims to have stainless take a magnet with you if it sticks them to shove it up there *** because it isnt stainless or it isnt a high grade stainless that wont rust

Hate to tell you, but opening it up won't really help in the lower RPMs. Smaller openings make more power down low while larger openings make more top end power.

I dont even begin to know how it changed how it sounds but it did, I had a garage full of people going "Wow that sounds better." If i can find the equipment I will get an audio sample so you guys can hear what im talking about.

yeah, but sound better doesnt mean it's faster or anything, just a thought, those bosch platinum plug doesnt work well with honda, search around, 2tips, 3tips, 4tips, they all the same if you know electron always flow in the shortest path, it doenst matter you have 1 or 4 tips, it's only flowing in one.
and all the ign. equipment you have wouldm't change much, you got the spark done but you not short on fuel and air
again, not to make you feel bad

Oh I am aware of that, this is a progression thing Gotta do it a piece at a time. Intake and Exaust is next, the fuel.
gotta look long term bud.
and I dont get your post about the plugs, the boschs are a single tip.
