A muffler itself is not going to determine how your car sounds. For starters i would put a resonator in your piping, assuming its bigger than stock, you wont lose performance but it will quiet it down a bit and stop that raspy crap. A high flow cat is a good idea to. Believe it or not I got a lot of compliments with that exact setup but a piece of **** no name muffler. If your the kind of person that wants some loud obnoxious car, ok thats fun for 1 week but its gets really freaking old.

I know your going to go get some muffler with a 5" tip but please think about doing it the right way. Dont be a ricer

If you want low and quiet, the quietest IMO. Apexi WS2. Is so quiet that sometimes you'll wonder what you just spent $500 on.

i tihnk tanabe and RS*R have a lot of angled canisters. If you really want that look you could buy a catback system, take it to a muffler shop and have them angle it out for you

The Apexi N1 has the angle you are talking about.
The only problem is that the axle back pipe mounts under your lca which makes bottoming out a daily thing. I believe Megan sells angled exhausts too.
I have had both and as stated before they are cool for a week then become annoying as hell.

how much were you looking to spend on the muffler? you should buy a resonator too, or it is all going to sound fairly raspy
