Houston Area Dealership "whoa's"
After some suggested that I take my ITR into Acura Southwest (now Sterling McCall) for vandalism repair,
I felt it necessary to comment on their workmanship that Houstonians should be ware.
I first brought the car in to have a stolen ECU, shift ****, dashboard, and center consol replaced.
Along with this repair two small dime size dents in the driver side door.
I explicitly requested they sub-out the body repairs to ensure a “paint-less dent removal” method be used.
After 4 months of tinkering with the ECU, and reverse nut for the shift ****, they finally returned the car with a further scratched center console, and Bondo filled dents in the door.
This became apparent when I noticed distinctive waviness in the door from a block away.
I rescheduled a visit in order to have this redone, after moaning to the service manager about depreciation of value due to the paint.
To make a long story short, 2 months, and 3 door paintings later the car was returned with an additional mysterious 65 miles on the odometer, and same waviness in the door.
So, whatever, let me just get out of this place and whine about it later.
After clinching my teeth and refraining from slamming my poo-poo car door, a little piece of plastic falls in my lap. I found where it belonged near the dash and snapped it back in its place.
Then at freeway speed, I noticed more than the usual amount of wind noise from the driver side window. The inner door panel was roughly a hands thickness in space away from the glass. So I return to the dealership to correct this, after a few hours of waiting they return my car.
I’m getting tired of typing and I’m sure you’re tired of reading…
…anyway, they suck. Any other Houston area suggestions?

only dealership i trust is charlie thomas off of I45. it is a bit of a drive but they wash your car for free everytime u get warranty work and I havent had a problem yet. you could also try john eagle acura off of i10 and highway 6, ive seen itr's there getting work done so they must be decent/good too.
dealerships to stay away from....sterling mcall acura aka acura southwest and gillman acura. btw it doesnt take 4 months to replace a ecu and a shiftknob even if your wires were all cut up.

I'd definitely call Acura's Customer Care and let them know your dissatisfaction with the repeated attempts at repairing your vehicle. Be prepared to tell them all the dates and times you brought your car in, how long they had it, what they didn't fix each time, etc. Then request to have your car repaired somewhere else at their expense, since the Acura dealer you've been using is incapable of fixing the small number of items correctly. See what they say (it's worth asking).
They'll probably recommend you go back one more time and they'll make everything right, which is fine, because in the end you just really want to get your car fixed. You'll also make Acura aware of their poor service at this particular dealership. If they fix everything this time, then great, else one more call to see what they do. If no good solution arises from that, file a case at your local small claims court and you've got a slam dunk case.

Are you talking about getting service done at the shop or at the Sterling McCall Body shop off of Bissonnet? I got my car kicked while at a mall and took it to the body shop (It says Lexus and such on the sign but not Honda/Acura) They fixed my kicked part and fixed a door ding that I didn't even ask them to repair. The repairs were perfect. If Sterling McCall did a poo pooy job they have a lifetime warranty on their work. But yeah definatley keep complaining until it's done right.
deffinately go over their heads and contact their superiors, that is reduculous, call the acura complaint line, I wouldnt settle till its perfect, dont let them screw you
I live in Houston too and I've also had problems with Sterling McCall Acura. I took my car in for a realignment and when I got it back the steering wheel was pointing due west while the car was traveling straight. I went back in and asked them to fix it which they did. But I still feel like my car pulls right just a tad. I asked the Repair office about this and he said that it's because the streets are tilted to the right for drainage purposes. I guess this makes sense but I still think that it pulls a little more then it should. Anyways after hearing this I'm definitely not going back to Sterling McCall Acura.
as far as the your vehicle pulling. An alignment is not going to fix it. Caster is non adjustable. Toe is the only thing you can align on a stock R. Unless it is way out (like 0.5-1.0"). If you get the printout from the alignment you can see if the caster is way off from one side to the next. If so, that will cause pull.
