Default CEL Code 4 (I need to get to work, so please help)

My car is having some random horrible problem. It all started with me trying to go to work about a week ago. got in, turned the key, nothing. Replaced the battery and it ran fine for a little while (got a jump start to AutoZone, the guy who tested the alt and all was a retard and I didnt trust him). Anyways, I unhooked the green alternator to take it out and replace it because i suspected that was the problem (Voltmeter jumped a little) and then decided i better try to get it tested Advance to make sure before i did anything drastic. Since it was getting dark, I hurried through hooking the battery up and forgot to hook up the green plug on teh side of the alternator. I noticed as i was leaving that the car would not rev above 3500 RPM and bogs at 2000 - 2550 RPM range with gas mashed, but with 1/2 thorttle or so it revs up to 2500 as usual. I replaced the plug, but nothing changed. I pulled the code and it was CEL code 4, for Crank Position Sensor (CKP). So basically, I have NO idea what is going on, and very limited funds.

Cliff Notes:

Model: 95 USDM Civic EX
Motor: 94 Canadian Spec Si D16z6
Symptoms: Rev Limiter at 3500 and bogging at around 2000-2550 RPM (Limp Mode ?) and throws CEL code 4 for Crank Position Sensor. Smells like its running rich.
Other: Ran car with alternator unhooked for like half a mile, then replaced plug.

Any help would be great, i have no idea whats going on with this mess.

try unhooking the battery n the ecu for about 20min to reset it. The alternator wire may have caused a jump in volts?? Its worth a try

You are in limp mode. Thats why the ecu is dumping so much fuel. And you can't rev past 2500, 3500. Whatever. Unplug BOTH cables to the battery, and for the hell of it, unplug the ecu fuse. Let it sit like this for a few hours.

Then plug it back in.

have you checked your CPS? if not check it test it and replace it, about being on limp mode, you can have an array of problems, have you checked if you disconnected any vacuum hoses while you where messing around with your alternator? i remember having this problem i cleaned the map sensor and it went away. u might wanna try that.
