Hey guys I've got a '96 GSR; I put a test pipe on about 3 weeks ago; 2nd O2 sensor is swingin in the breeze. Of course I got a CEL for the secondary O2 voltage high/low/irregular immediately but all runs fine so no worries for the moment.

Weird thing is this: yesterday the CEL went OUT. Hasn't come back yet. Is this normal? I got so used to having a CEL on for some reason or another, my dash looks so EMPTY without it! Just wondering if this has happened to others.

hmmmm.... interesting, this happened in a similar situation with my friends del sol and his cold air intake regarding the air temp guage on the OBD-2 cars. his light was on for a while then all of a sudden it was off. It was weird but the light has not come back. its crazy but oh well sounds like ur good to go!

My 96 GSR does the same thing it will go on and off. Not to worry

 

OK thanks, I figured it had something to do with the fact that the early 96 ECUs are the unwanted bastard stepchild OBD-1.5 model.
