Default Headlight Problem

i've been having issues with my drivers side headlight for months now.

before i did the 99 conversion on my car, the drivers side headlight was always brighter than the other.

one day i rear ended someone and decided to do the conversion, i changed all the bulbs and im still having the same problem. except now the the drivers side turn signal doesnt turn on. it only turn on when i make a turn. but it blinks really dim and really fast. (the driver side rear also blinks fast but not dim)

help me out guys, is this a wiring issue, a fuse issue, what?

Yeah it sounds like you have a short somewhere in that harness for the headlight. Do you have any blown fuses or blow any certain fuse regularly?

Sounds like you are having ground issues to me. Check all your connections to and from the lights.

All ground connections from that light go to ground connection G202. If the problem is actually a ground, it would have to be in the individual wire for the light that isn't working. How well does the windshield washer pump work? Does anything change with the lights when you spray it? (Washer pump is on G202 as well.)

When you're done looking at it, if it's not a ground problem (which it prolly won't be...) look at the harness for the turn signal bulb. Inspect it carefully to make sure there is no obvious damage, shorting, etc. Look at as much of it as you can. If you don't see anything, I'll tell you how to do some tests on it with a multimeter or a test light. If you don't have either of those tools, I suggest you go out and get a test light at the very least.

I believe G202 is under the fender behind the headlight... it is on my car anyways. Look for something obvious, like a place where the wiresheeting is missing or burned or something like that.

Before getting anything new, I suggest you test the one you have. Did you inspect the harness yet?
