Default headers?

i got a B7, and does getting headers affect gas mileage? im getting 35 mpg constinitally with some gas flooring at times . so far, i checked ebay and its about 85 bucks shipped , and this place sells a obx one for 180. i might go for the 180 one. and will the acceleration be alot more different or not worth it? THANKS

i'm sure you'll feel a difference, but not to the point where you'll be all, "WHOA " ESPECIALLY if you have a stock intake and exhuast. It's always better to get all three (I/H/E), but even then you won't feel a BIG difference. They're just typical bolt-ons. And as such they are engineered to improve the "bigger picture" of your engine's performance as a whole- not individually.

Buy a more aggresive cam... Choose something that will fit your needs. Such as daily driving... Thats the only way I see you making some real power with 500 all motor.

Save that 500 for a motor swap. Pick up like a B18B or B20 and start from there. Thats what im doing, and my **** runs 18 flats at 75mph with a d15b8 a free short ram and muffler!!!!!!! Not worth the money to build a single all motor. If ya really just want to spend money on your car right now spend it on rims or tires or a new hood or suspension or interior. Well thats my 2 cents...

Another possibility would be a z6 or y8 swap.

a quick little bit of power can come from a y8 or z6 tranny. im thinkin about pickin one up and doing a mini-me instead of buyin a jdm d15b. then saving up for a serious swap... or new car.
