Spark plug tips white, what does this mean?
I pulled my plugs this weekend to do a compression test and they all had a white color to them. I heard normal is a light brown color, am i running lean? Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
it means your running lean turn the fuel up a bit .try to get a nice brown look
You CANNOT get an accurate reading from plugs unless you cut the motor off
immediately after a full throttle run BEFORE letting go of the accelerator pedal.
Otherwise closed loop operation will skew the results.
When I said it means nothing, I MEANT it.

sgT is right (as usual). We used to laugh at a few SCCA guys who used to pull their plugs all the time. hehe.

They are actually supposed to be white though. You want them to be dripping with fuel? White = good. I hear too much of this white = lean nonsense... Unless you see damage to the plug from heat or detonation...
