Hey whats up guys...i recently did a b16a swap in my 95cx and my vtec is kicking in about 5800rpms..is that right or is it suppose to kick a little lower like 5200rpm..thats what i was told..it also doest feel like its kicking in that hard..i have a CEL on im going to check the code tomarrow,so maybe that could be it... but let my know what you think..

 

what tach do you have some times the stock ones are off and yea check the cel.

 

i swaped my cx tach for a ex tach

 

even though u changed the tach out it could still be off. Also with that cel ur car may not be opening vtec. what ecu u running

 

maybe but it still doesnt feel like it really pulls till like 7000rpm tach could be off anyway its a jdm b16a wiht a p30 ecu..you can hear it but like i said about 5800 rpm and doest really pull till 7000rpm

 

vtec at 5800 rpm sounds normal to me
