Air Escaping After Shut Down?
Hey,
This started last week. After I turn the car off, there's a sound that sounds like air escaping that comes from the engine bay. It lasts about 7 seconds. It's NOT the short ram. I haven't had time to examine the problem further yet, but today after work I popped the hood and discovered that it's coming from the back of the IM near the MC and BB. I checked the vacuum line on the BB to IM and it's secure.
Tomorrow I'm gonna examine further. It might be a vacuum leak. Has this happened to anyone before, any pointers?

It sounds like it's coming from the back of the IM near the firewall on the master cylinder side. I was worried it was the brake booster, but it's not that vacuum line.
The engine still runs fine and I'm not throwing any CEL's.

It just sounds like high velocity air escaping quickly through a small space.

well, this may be a shot in the dark but is the car equipped with air conditioning? Could it be a possile leaky o-ring or compressor?
My only other guess is a vaccum leak of some sort : |
good luck I hate it when my car ***** up...

u can also get some carb cleaner, and spray were u think its leaking,
if it stops after u spray, then u know u have a leak, if it continues, then
check ur flux capacitor,
