Yeah probably just a colder intake charge. Thats why cold days are so good for the turbo

i've heard some people say they race with their heater on because it circulates the water = cooler temps. but i've also heard it's just a myth. i tried it a couple times, and it didn't seem any different. i bet it was just the cold air. my car seems a little quicker now too.

Definately the colder air. The heater really doesn't make that much of a difference unless you over heating and your seeing your temp needle rise. The colder air makes for a denser chargein the cylinder. This makes more power by actually running the car leaner than when it's warm outside. Not lean enough to worry about detonation though. The downside to colder temps though is decreased traction. So have fun with the added power and be safe with the less traction and if your going to race try for a good burn out first.

OT: Ever notice that your IM cools A LOT faster when the heaters on? This is not a myth, for I have burned my hand resulting in this conclusion.
