i was told that the skunk2 chip gets rid of the knock. drove my car last night for the first time with my lsvtec done and code 23 comes on which i believe is knock. i was still able to egauge vtec when this happened which i found strange. does the chip just make it so vtec still works without a knock sensor but does not get rid of the CEL?
Your p72 may not be chipped or the program on the eprom you have does not have knock disabled.

its dfently chipped. i my self have not opened it and looked at it because i just got it but we use to have it in my friends gsr. he looked at and it had a skunk2 chip in it. it also had no fuel cut and it runs supper rich like i heard a lot of skunk2's do. i think it might need remapped or something if u can do that but it really doesnt matter cause im buying hondata in like a week.
Also it was wierd i was driving last night 4th gear about 7200 and it felt like it just cut out when i pushed down the gas no accelartion i but it in N and just coasted for a sec pressed on the throttle then and the rpm's would go up then down shifted and the car would accelerate again. not sure what mph i was at but this was at like 7300 right before i was about to shift so im guessing maybe 110
