Okay,
1. Use the search feature (if you dont already)
2. Check in the "Hybrid" forum.
3. Yes, k20a2 is the USDM RSX Type S engine.
good luck bro, would love to see this if you plan on doing it.

add to that the k20a2 head and you got something better than a k20a2.
I have no idea what k20a2 heads go for, I'm guessing $1,000?

The K20a2 and K24a2 heads are almost identical. There's no need to swap them. If you get the K24a3 motor, then yes, it will benefit from an A2 head.

BTW - $1k for a head and ecu are about going rate.

1/4 not only depends on the setup, but it also depends on the driver. if you suck at drag racing, then you prolly wont have a good time

15s all day.

Have you thought of other alternatives for making horsepower? IMO the k20 swap is a rather novel thing. There are much easier and cheaper ways of going about and getting horsepower.

What? If you drop a K20A2 in an EG expect mid to low 13's ALL DAY. Drop some slicks and minor mods, you're in the 12's.

Sorry, I don't see anything novel about that.

I was being sarcastic.

I know the k20 has hella potential but for $6k for the total swap and then add in the extra money for the slicks and bolt-ons there are easier ways of getting into the 12's with a hatch.

$3k will get you a 12.5 with an EG hatch.

i dont think 6-7k for swap is at all bad when u have to look at the power output a stock k24a2 with k-pro, puts down like 215hp and 180ft pds of tq. to the wheels. oem reliable. now if u do a type r b18 they still run like 4500 for swap around on like hmotorsonline so. then u have to put that money into it to get to 215hp and still wont touch that tq numbers. and it is modifyed so wont be as reliable. but i know u cant be fast and reliable but at least it might last longer.
but this swap is not for the novice if u dont know much about start out with a bseries and learn a little about ur car.

also the k20a2 is not the type r, its k20a for the "r"

Exactly. Everything that I have bought is for a purpose built track car. I could have done this swap for about $7k including the motor/trans if I was doing a street car. That's damn good for a combo that will continue to have new parts made for it and be on the forefront of development.
