25 to 15 at idle, but in vtec 0 0 0 what i always used to be consistant all the way up to 8k why is it doing this now nehelp i dont know could it be the gauge its a electric autometer ?? or ... idk help?

it probably is cuz its electric.. it might be getting grounded somewhere when your moving causing it to act stupid..

thats what i was thinking but its only vtec and its every time not like a random grounding unless the gauge is somehow reacting to the vtec electricly also my idle press seems to have gotten lower than normal?

will do asap! i found someone else with the same problem we bolth had this happen when we switched to synthic oil ? that should not effect the oil pump but maby it makes the sending unit of the gauge wacky? possibility???? neone else?

Has nothing to do with the switch to synthetic oil, I'm thinking that gauge is fucked up somehow. Go ahead and get a mechanical oil pressure gauge with a copper line, (the plastic lines suck...) and you'll get a more accurate reading.

VTEC wouldn't even engage if you had low oil pressure. 15-25 at idle is fine, I idle at around 21psi, but after hard runs or on a hot day it'll drop to around 17-18 or so.

well it gets good pressure just untill it goes into vtec then its 0 according to my gauge i just find it funny 2 people had the same problem after switching to synthic but if i throw in my stock oil switch and since my gauge reads 0 the light should come on right? im gonna try that tommorow with stocck switch when does that triiger the light at 10psi 5? 1 way to tell if the gauge is broke i guess only other thing is vtec is sucking all my oil up to the head and being very greedy!

Mechanical gauge=20 psi at idle, 75 psi before v-tec, close to 100 psi 8K F electro gauges.
