Icon3 HELP : Vtec only engaging when vehicle is slightly below operating temp.

Just got my car back from Innovative tuning and it sucks sh*t.
Long story no time to explain. Vtec is only engaging when temperature is
1/16" below operating temp. I found debris in vtec screen and cleaned out 4 times now and no more is building up. Still the same sh*t. I do not have an oil pressure gauge hooked up so I imagine lack of oil pressure could most definitely cause vtec to stop engaging. Any other idea's? Solenoid is still good considering it pops consistantly when cooler. Everything just sounds like oil pressure to me but I would hate to think that my block/head is filled with **** somewhere. Any actual attemps for and answer are appreciated.

I would assume your oil pressure is low... Try changing your oil and see what happens.. any CEL's?

Is it a LS/VTEC? If it is, I had a problem very much like it. I replaced my oil line from the sandwich plate to a thicker one problem resolved. Also, if it is a LS/VTEC where are you getting your oil supply?
