Default OEM Gas Tank/ Fuel Cell

I will be running a 8-12 gallon fuel cell in my eg hatch and was wondering if I should leave the oem gas tank in place for aerodynamic reasons? If I do remove it, what extent of modification will need to take place to allow less drag?

EDIT: Any/all pics would help

your stock fuel tank is already 8-10 why would u run a same size tank....

and if u want to make it aero dynamic if u take it out...chop the whole rear out like the dragsters and lay some sheet metal over

I've seen what needs to be done in order to sump an oem tank properly and the amount of work seems like too much when you can buy a fuel cell. I don't know now though because tracks have to have a firewall between the cell and yourself so........I don't know what I'm going to do. I guess I could use a small cell that'll fit in the engine bay but if I drive a long distance I don't feel like filling up every 1hr or so lol.

Id sump the stock tank. Just measure and drill 5 holes. and weld the sump up. (make sure its air'd out.).
