Default running rich after new header

ok my civic has a b16b in it ... i put down 162.4 hp bone stock ... since then i have added a full exhaust ... spoon cams vafc and saturday i added a AN-R header ... i had a local muffler shop install it, and when i got it back went directly to the dyno to see what i was going to get ... as soon as i left i got on the highway and punched it and the car is slow!!! much slower than b4 ... got on the dyno and put down 155hp ... and the whole 7000 rpm range and some of the 8000 range had 11:1 a/f ... why am i running so rich??? and what seems to be the problem ... i got home today and started looking up fuel issues ... and came up with the o2 sensor ... so i unplugged it from my car i now have no o2 sensors plugged in and it runs the same if not better??? ... i was looking to put down 175 - 180 whp and i couldnt believe it when i put down 7 hp less than stock after all the mods ... could a wire have come loose or something happend to the o2 sensor at the shop when they did my header??? any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

I have no idea why you would unplug your o2 sensor. assuming you have an obd1 car, the o2 sensor is a pretty vital thing in helping your air/fuel ratios. without it, your car is probably running in limp mode. Now my question is, you say you have a vafc, did you look up the tables in that to see if that got messed up or a map got switched?
did you throw a cel?

Yeah. If youre running rich, then why dont you adjust the a/f ratio to lean it out in your vafc or safc? Why? Do you know that you can adjust it thru vafc?

Any CELs? O2 sensors do go bad. I recommend one of the universal Bosch sensors, as they a re much cheaper.

Did unplugging the sensor produce any CELs?
