Default D16Z6 CRX turbo question

For the guys with D16Z6 engines in their CRX's that have turbo kits installed. How much HP does your car have right now? and wondering what your 1/4 mile times are. Which manufacturer makes a good kit? I did a search and Greddy kept popping up so i guess that one's pretty reliable? thanks!

i dont really think you can get a factory kit for your crx. The kits you see are for the D motor but for the EH chasis usually. Go with a http://www.homemadeturbo.com someone posted in FI with a SOHC vtec he hit 234 hp and 180lbs of torque...

Ask USDM 4GVTEC, He hit 234 with a built z6. Everything from his was custom though, he didn't use a kit.

yes he is making good #'s for his setup as well

custom kit owns anyway, you get all the parts you want, and dont have to waste money on suck *** management that you will (hopefully) sell for something better

Are you serious? A stock Z6 comes to 125hp. NOT 234hp. I hope you were kidding. 234 hp and 180 tq are good numbers for a built Z6. Im sure with a little race gas and 20+ psi he could hit well over 300.

I think Nasty is saying a turboed z6(stock not built) will come close to 234 whp.

Most stock sohc turbos I have seen start breaking parts around 200hp. i.e cracked ringlands, blown head gaskets, thrown rods, etc.

I read the part built, and what he said threw me off. But 234 hp is nice. Im sure he could up the psi a bit and tune it and make a lot higher numbers, but if he is happy with 234 hp, why go any higher?

Remember that yes....lots of stock internal boosted Z6s are hitting the 200whp mark. Keep in mind how long they still there and how long it lasted.
The rods are the weak link to D-series blocks.
