Help with MPFI...I have triple checked everything..........
I did a MPFI conversion on my 91DX Hatch. I am getting code 16 and after trobleshooting I realized that injectors 2 and 4 are not working. I have checked my wiring about 20 times to make sure that Inj #2 is plugged in at A3 and that Inj # is at A7 and they still dont work. Inj #1 and 3 are working just fine. I really dont know what else to check. Any ideas? I really need to get the car running because my other car was totaled. BTW, I already put 2 new injectors in and still no luck.
bump because i need help. I checked for continuity and there are no problems there. The injectors just dont have power going to them. This sucks. I have a conversion harness I purchased from the rywire site, should i have switched wires around?
have you rechecked all the connections to make sure nothing is disconnected? are you sure the pins are in all the way? did you check to make sure your getting power from the resistor box?
no resistor box. I am running obd-I right now. What is kinda suspicious is that a3 and a7 is the 2 injector wires that need to be added to run mpfi.

Need more information. Did we do the MPFI conversion?
What engine are you running?

I took several pieces of wires and soldered them together to get these wires long enough to reach the ECU. Could this be a problem? I understand that soldering wires together may cause voltage drop and maybe its enough to cause the ECU to think they may be a break in the system
If I were you I'd do the same thing I did on my mpfi swap. Instead of messing with the stock harness I would go buy a roll of 16-18 gauge wire (autozone) and run your 4 injector wires dircetly from the ecu to the injectors...I had a very similar problem to yours where some of my injectors werent getting signal..ran the wires independantly and bam. Just pick up some loom too so it'll look clean.
FYI: I actually ran all of my mpfi wires independantly...4inj, the 2 for the dizzy and I went ahead and did my inj power as well. Good luck.

He never replied to my PM. I did figure out the problem though and the car is running like a champ. The problem was with the Injector grounds. I guess the pins were a bit bent out of shape and were not making a good connection with the end plug I was using.
I never got a pm...
Its a very easy thing to troubleshoot...
There is only 2 wires , the colored one goes to the ecu, and the red/blk goes to the injector blockoff(12volt plug), use a volt meter to make sure you have it all hooked up in the right position.
What injector grounds??? You mean the injector 12volt+?? What was wrong with it? How were the pins bent? I dont understand.

The pins may have been a bit bent out of shape on the 12V wires (maybe too wide) and were not making good contact.
BTW, I made this harness . I want to make sure you guys dont get a bad rep.
