To place an older, OBD-1 engine into a newer, OBD-2 vehicle. Makes it easier to run the ECU and all the proper harnesses without doing a hack job and installing Algerian Engineering.

Basically OBD2 ECU's are "unchippable" for lack of a better word. You get a OBD1 conversion harness to run a P28 or other OBD1 ECU to give you control

putting an older engine in a newer car will cause u to fail

if putting an older engine into a new car jus get the ecu for the gen of your car instead of converting back for example:
