interesting valve problem
Hey, could you guys help me diagnose this problem? I went to do my valve adjustment a few weeks ago, and the second intake valve on cyl #1 was fudged up. I couldn't get the feeler guage between the cam and the lifter no matter how I loose I adjusted the thing... I couldn't even get a .001 in there! Anyway, that is the only valve doing that, the rest of them adjusted just fine. The car also blows a wicked James Bond smokescreen anywhere above 5k rmp.

Are you doing it in order from 1-3-4-2, if not, then you need to redo the whole adjustment to make sure they are all right, you can do two cylinders at a time on non-vtec cars, i dunno about vtec because i have never performed this adjustment on non-vtec.
all valves were adjusted in the proper order at tdc for each piston.
it was just one intake valve on cyl #1, the other other one adjusted just fine, as did all 15 of the others.

not really much to take a picture of :dunno: I can't see it helping... it looks like all the other valves, just the cam is touching the lifter
BTW, are you the dude I sold an ecu to way back when? James, right?
