Houston, we have a (valve) problem...
I'm getting a high-pitched whining noise after doing my valve adjustment on the B16A. Quite audible, quite annoying... and quite worrying. I didn't let the car warm up, just heard the squeal/whine and shut it down again after 10 seconds or so (making sure it didn't go away immediately). What could this mean? TIA everyone
.
P.S. I just finished a valve adjustment on my brother's D16A6 yesterday, and it came out perfectly...

No one knows?
I adjusted the intake valves on the loose side of 0.006", and I adjusted the exhaust valves on the tight side of 0.008". I adjusted in the order 1-3-4-2, turning the crank 1/4 turn each time, starting from TDC.
Oh yeah, and I just replaced the cap and rotor, too (while the engine was apart).

If you haven't done a valve adjustment before and you just did a valve adjustment by yourself without any expert (or experienced at least) supervisory, I am suspecting that you've done it incorrectly (gapping wise).
I would've thought so too... but as it turns out I pulled the valvecover again and as I pulled it I noticed "Oh shoot, look at that, the gasket was half inside the engine!" So I have a mildly chewed valvecover gasket, and a nice smooth running engine now. When it's not stalling that is
