TYPE R LSD in LS TRANNY
I'm guessing no since ATS doesn't make a differential for an LS transmission. You can ask them if their GSR/ITR differential would work in your transmission.

Did you click the link? They manufacture aftermarket LSD for several Japanese brands. They can answer your question.

i dont know much about tranny's but im not really a newb though. im talking about installing an OEM integra type R lsd, not an aftermarket one. one i can pickup for like 350$
The reason that I provided the link is that if the aftermarket unit can replace the stock ITR one but it will not fit the LS transmission then the stock ITR one will not fit the LS transmission.
i put a type R lsd in my D2a4 tranny with mods..all i had to do is make a custom shim for the dif bearings..and shave the case a lil bit when the cv joint comes thru..i dont see why u couldnt do it in an LS tranny...BTW d2a4 is a 90-91 honda prelude SI tranny

Unless he has free machining, it would be far cheaper and more reliable to just buy an ITR transmission or a GSR transmission and swap in the ITR LSD. They will directly swap to his LS, plus he would gain better gear ratios.

Yep
Yep
i use a GSR countershaft AND ring gear. it's my experience that sometimes a countershaft only likes it's original ring gear. another identical countershaft may not spin properly on a given ring gear, where the original would spin right. total parts cost $150 in a pinch for countershaft and ring gear.
