I heard POOOOP!!! it is my headgasket?
well just did a mini-me like a few days ago and I finished I let it run for 3-5minutes then went for the test drive ..was in 1st gear got to the red light, turned green then while making the left shifted in 2 then hit the gas a little then POP goes the damn sohc cam...its shut off by it self then I opened my hood, you see coolant shot everywhere, then I told my friend to try to start and it spit-shot out coolant from head/block ..so its my headgasket right?

What headgasket did you use? Did you re-use an old one? Did you seal the headgasket with some copper spray? Did you torque the head down in sequence and to factory-spec?

It sounds that way, just throw a new one in there and do a set of ARP studs, rather than the stock head bolts that you probably reused (no, your not supposed to do that) , while your at it.

I torqued in the factory sequence, but no copper spray.I did use the old headgasket.

I thought you could use the old bolts according to the bauleycivic mini-me thread.

Sorry to say, but cutting corners and skimping on a $30 OEM headgasket just cost you the time and effort of having to remove the head again and replace the gasket, not to mention you probably wanted to actually DRIVE the car and not just have it sitting in your yard. All to save $30.

Hmmm, I haven't read that thread, but from my experince every time someone has reused their head bolts, the result was a blown headgasket within a few weeks (I'm not saying this is the case for everyone, that is just what I have seen) I would highly reccomend installing head studs while it is torn apart anyway, think of it as cheap insurance...
