I have a 98 Gsr with a 90 Ls tranny (s1) and within the past 2-3 days Im finding it really difficult to get into gears. I havent had any other problems besides this. It sometime grinds if I rev out to 8k and band 2nd hard but why all the sudden is it soo difficult to shift. Anyway I can check something or some how fix it. Getting into 1st at times is almost impossible.

 

check your fluids?

 

check the linkage, if your grinding you may need syncros.

 

Well its not the grinding I mind .. Its the difficulty of getting into 1st n 2nd. Fluids are good I just dropped the tranny 2 weeks ago to replace the throughout bearing. Any other ideas? Is there actually tranny fluid I should use? Besides this synchromesh in which I cant find.

 

is the linkage the same on a 90 as on a 98? I am not sure but if it is not then that may be your problem.

 

by the way honda did make one boosted car.
