I have a d16z6 and everytime I get to high rpm's white/black smoke come out of the exhaust majorly. I have black shyt all over my back bumper also. Also it smokes a little bit before I get to vtec. vtec is when it mainly smokes.

 

vtec engines are supposed to smoke a little bit while vtec is engaged. white smoke is coolant being burned, black smoke usually means your running rich, and blue smoke it oil. have you checked your coolant levels lately?

oil is always disapearring. I think it may be valve seals. But f-it Y8 comin I hate the Z6 something always happens to them when I have one.

when i put the motor on my z6 it smokes like its a light blue kinda what should i do to fix that it worked find then it sat in our sealed barn over the winter and now it does that what could the problem be?

If valve seals are bad, it will smoke under decel. Smoke under accel is rings.

 

see i have the same problem smokes blueish at high rpm may be valve seals b/c there not closing at the right time?!!!??? but do a compression test and see what there at!!! that will help see if the rings are bad!!! i have a 1990 acura integra vtec b16a lsd tranny si intake manifold si injecters,itr cams dc header, mine smokes to and i some help with it?? so any help would be great!!!!

 

I am having the same problem It has brand new rings 75mm bore with new pistons and the who engine is brand new! But the old engine use 2 have bad rings so theres alot of old oil in the exhaust do you think it could be because its burning off all the old stuff at higher rpm? Or could it be because my valve lash isnt adjusted right? I have valve ticking idk any help would be Awesome!!!!!!!
