My boy tabias sold me his chargepipe and intercooler. The problem is I can't get get in touch with him about how he mounted that ****. Who here has done it, and what modifications did you do to the chassis? Thanks in advance.

Does the intercooler come with any brackets? Usually theres brackets that you hook up to the bumper support. Sometimes you have to drill a hole into the bumper support and put a bolt and nut to hold it up

I tried installing between the bumper support and the radiator, but theres nowhere betwwen the chassis and the bumper cover that the charge pipe could fit. As far as the bumper cover not being able to be reintalled with the intercooler in place, I guess the lower grill could just b removed, but I was using the lower grill as anchor points for the zip-ties holding on a screen to protect it and the radiator from rocks. Even eliminating THAT problem, refer back to the charge-pipe problem.
Problem # 3 (the big one) I tried to install the turbo and manifold tonight, and the wastegate actuator won't let it be installed because of interference with the air conditioning lines. I really don't know what to do about that, because I didn't have air conditioning before, and it sucks, so I'm keeping the ac. Any suggestions?

For the intercooler your going to have to shave the bumper either way it goes. Take off the bumper and test fit it first, then cut around it.

For the wastegate, its internal im guessing. Most internal wastegates arent AC friendly, your going to need to get an external one. Also it could be the manifold all together. Ask around in the classified for someone that sells AC compatable turbo manifolds, tell them the turbo you have and your good.

You mean bumper cover? If you mean bumper support, dude, that will totally compromise the structural ridgidity of the car, so I'm not gonna do that, but I was thinking I could cut out a little of the bottom of the bumper cover, but that would expose the chargepipe to scrapes and ****.

Actually the bumper support has no effect on structural rigidity.

But he meant the cover.

THats what i thought he meant as well. Try mounting the core upside down. My friend mounted his greddy FMIC on his jetta this way so h e wouldnt have to hack his rebar, did have to trim the plastic bumper cover some but not noticeable.

unless you know of some other way to hold the front of the car together, it does.
