most people use rustoleum flat/satin black thinned with acetone/paint thinner.

i used Krylon Semi-Flat spray paint (didn't come out THAT bad).

search flat black, it's been said a few thousand times.

satin black is what im thinking of using. its kinda looks flat enough w/o paint thinner, right?

ill tell you right now, you cannot wash a spray painted car. it'll start coming off after a few washes.

gotta wait for spugen or even speedinghatch to jump in here to comment about washing a car painted with rustoleum and acetone/thinner.

I wash mine with a hose, I done kno about power washes I think it would leave etches in the paint. Just make sure to wash it in a darker area or else water will just dry up and leave spots, I dry mine with an absorber.

best thing to do is use an enam. paint here. you got 3 shade options
1 flat black looks like a chalk board
2 semi flat what you want looks like that del sol
3 gloss well we all know thats shine

with an enam. paint it wont wash off like spray can. basically its a 1 stage system. like a base clear is 2 stage kandies and pearls are 3 stages you have the base a tint coat then clear. with an enam. your clear/protectant what ever you want to call it is in the paint. when you buff it paint comes off but no different then when you wet sand and buff a 2 or 3 stage paint job. in short enam is our best bet here a semi flat black enam. mix it up and spray it get better coverage and longer life then rattle can. enam is what system most older vehicle had on them back in the day.
