96 civic ex d16y7 with p2p code 22 but no vtec?

Default 96 civic ex d16y7 with p2p code 22(vtec oil pressure switch) but no vtec?

I have a 96 civic ex with a p2p throwing out code 22 but when I plugged a p2e on the car doesn't start?need to get the car smog?any ideas?

From what I understand the d16y7 is the non-vtec engine and if you're running the p2p ecu you will get that error code because there are no vtec wires ( soleniod / oil pressure switch ) unless it's a mini-me or something... the vtec engine 96-99 would be the d16y8 engine...

yeah but I want to pass smog and find out if there is anyway the cel won't come by changing the ecu but it doesn't seem the p2e works with it cause car only starts the p2p ecu plugged up

you could take out the cluster and remove the bulb that lights the engine check light
