my buddy has a zc motor he's working on for a customer and needs to know how to go about getting the correct parts. He needs to replace the headgasket, rod bearings/main bearings, and the rings. Can he get them at an autoparts store? Being that its the jdm zc, what parts would he ask for, someone told him that parts for a 88-89 teg would interchange. Is that correct?? Any info is helpful.
thanks

Here you go:

Obviously you will need to find out which color bearings you need.

thanks for the link, it doesn't say anything about piston rings but i'm sure it's safe to assume the ones for the 89 teg will work just fine, and no i dont need to find out which color bearings i need cause machine sell "standardized bearings" in a set for certain motors, and being that its not my motor thats what he said he wants, personally i choose the color matched ones from the dealer but to each his own.

Yes, the 89 Integra piston rings will work. When I bought new pistons for my ZC rebuild, I used 89 Integra pistons. I thought I had that listed on the spreadsheet, but I guess not.
