i have a obd1 b16 head, decked .003in with stock b16 springs and retainers, omni intake valves and ferrea exhaust valves....ls block with ITR pistons and rods. and i am buying CTR cams and i wanted to know how high i can rev while still being on stock springs and retainers, or if its even safe to just run to 8200-8500 with these cams on my setup. thanks

 

I would not push it over 8k. Your best bet is to put the car on a dyno and see if it even makes power that high. Most power bands start droping about 8k. so it would be pointless to rev it that high if you don't make anymore power. 98ctr
