I hate when people say " if you only plan to rev to stock." That **** is annoying. Of course he not planning to rev to stock. There would be no point to do anything to the head. Or post this thread. Dude u lose 1000 cool points for that stupid as remark. But fa real. Since u getting those. Just go and get the ITR outter springs and the stock b16 retainers will be fine. Are u getting cam gears. If so don't waste your money on aem or some other brand just get the Toda cam gears. I did and had to give mine away for free. Trust they are well worth the price. Inline4 has them for 280.

Oh yeah. I would even touch the valves. But if u want some that are a little lighter go and get the ITR valves. I would was my money on doin that though. Keep everything simple less problems down the road. And if u need anymore help hit me up.

And sometimes people build the head for reasons other than reving higher. Like maybe making more power :O

well i do already rev higher than normal with the stock motor. but it seems that there is no power producing so i stop. what would be the max rev i can go with the ctr or itr. i really dont want to take the head off. if i do only rev to stock what would be the most i get out of it. mid 14's? oh yea i got a 99b16a2 basically stock. just s2 intakemani, cold air, headers, and a p28 chipped ecu

Well when u get your head completed. U should take it to get tuned. Then they can squeeze as much HP out of it they can. When the do that they will see where u stop making power and set your redline maybe 300 500 rpm higher than that. I have some what of the same set up but I have BC spec III's and a portflow port job to match my IM and headers. But with a stock bottom u should definetly shave a couple of tenths off you 1/4.
