Default Depo Fog Light Problem

just installed the depo fog light kit for my 2000 civic ex. installing the actual lights was easy, and the wiring seemed easy enough. but it doesnt work. the switch lights up but the lights dont turn on. it didnt help that the directions werent in english either. I wired the main harness to the power side of the battery->fuse->relay->1st fog-> 2nd fog->(ground wire coming out of harness grounded-> power wire to interior harness->switch and ground. also there is another connector that the picture shows going into the #5 slot above the interior fuse box. did all that and the lights dont work? Anyone know what the problem could be or have the DEPO instructions in english. found the OEM civic fog instructions but they are different. any help is very appreciated.

First off, when the switch light turns on, do you hear the relay clicking on?

my instructions came in english and were easy to follow, wish I still had them so i could copy them for you to see. Maybe the sent you lights with no bubls, or possibly the coil inside the bulbs broke while being delivered. From what you did everything sounds right, so I dunno.

my grounds are on some black piece of metal under ther front bumper, and for the interior, its connected to that piece of metal next to the steering column that is curved. where did you plug your relay to? mine is connected to the plug on the depo harness. any way you can get a pic of your wiring?

Check the ground that you have connected to the piece under the bumper. If it's painted you might not be getting contact with metal.

I just installed a set on my 95 but they were esuse. It sound like you harness is different. mine went like this. 2 fogs > fog harness > A ground that I put on my existing ground > Hole on Drivers Side. On the inside my switch harness has 3 one plug connectors, one for the relay and one for the switch. One of the single wire plug is a female that connected with the wire that came through the fire wall wall, and the other two wen to the fuse box one in number 2 and one in number 5 and then a ground.

I think number 5 is hot all the time so it lit up the foglight switch even without the car on and the foglights would come on when the parking lights flashed for the alarm.

Also make sure that the parking light fuse didn't get popped; mine did when and I had to change it to a 20.

So the difference is that I didn't have to go to to battery.

Kinda long but it was easier than it sounds. Took me longer to type this.
