fog light install warm up?
i just installed Depo fog lights in my 94 accord. everything is wired and grounded. keeping in mind it was almost single digit weather, the fog light switch didnt light up until i drove to a store 2 mi away and the fog lights wont turn on either.
since the switch lights up and when u press it and the on/off function is working (lights up also) should i wait and see if fogs work when warmed up or send them back?
anyone else have expirence with fog light delay?

Re: fog light install warm up?
ok so after diagnosing the problem i have narrowed it down. i pulled the multimeter and did some tests. i am getting 13v at the wire harness A after switching the bad connectors that came with the kit to butt connectors i am getting 13v to the wire harness B. but when i test the wire harness at the fog light connector i am not getting any voltage
i guess it has to be a issue with wire harness B? or could the problem have something to do with the relay?

Re: fog light install warm up?
so i tested the relay and i am getting 13v from the main power wire (woohoo) but i am not getting any voltage to the fuse or any other wires.
the relay is: Song/Chuan
804-1A-C1 12VDC
30A 12VDC
i am guessing this is the problem. anyone wanna confirm. anyone know of a better relay?

Re: fog light install warm up?
i did some research and went and got a EG/EK horn/wiper relay from the dash panel i also found this thread
https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...-ebay-1812043/
i am going to splice in the OEM EG/EK harness with the relay since the relay alone didnt work. still getting 13v at the relay but nowhere else.
the thread above shows the fuse before the relay should i rewire mine like that?

Re: fog light install warm up?
so it turns out i made the ultimate rookie mistake and grounded the main power wire instead to connecting it to the positive battery terminal. quick switch-a-roo, works fine now with the OEM denso relay from the EG/EK/DC. Depo fogs are awesome. wiring harness is questionable.

Re: fog light install warm up?
it was red. i saw the ring terminal and thought ground it
but on the bright side the fogs really help me see pot holes
