Default ACT Clutch Question?

Has anyone used this clutch before?
How was the pedal effort compared to stock?
Any reviews you guys can provide me? Pro/Con?

ACT make the best clutches out there for the money imo. The full and sprung disc they make is just fabolous (I use it). The pressure plate will give a bit of pedal effort, but nothing to be worried about.

Even when they say the PRESSURE INCREASE is 100% above stock?

I think you got this one?

imo i hate act so far ive known 3 ppl that it failed on. I bought one and it totally griped way better than my stock clutch it would make my car snap like crazy. but after about 5 months it started sliping when i shifted fast and then it just gave up and broke. so I got tired of it and sold my teg and bought a hatch and i think when i replace my clutch i will go for stock.

Hah...Ever listen to instructions. You do know that you have to break in a clutch right? Exedy say's 750km. I don't know about ACT. If you ever change your mind go with Exedy. Grab hard and lasts forever .

i think ACT recommends 500 miles to break in the clutch

Every clutch should have 500 break-in miles put on it. You also must either put in a new flywheel or have your old one resurfaced when you install a new clutch.

Yeah. I'm surprised because some clutches don't come with any break-in information. But, you should put 500 street driving miles on the clutch. Just being easy, only giving a max of maybe 75% throttle. Freeway miles don't count either.

yes I know that, I think everybody knows that, but me and my buddys have always had problems with that clutch it either slips or it shaters from to much hp. Ive heard good things from clutchmasters, but never tried it

i love mine. for the pedal pressure...i know mine actually feels softer then stock.. however it def. grabs and doesn't let go. I put about 30k-40k miles of pure beating on mine its slowly beginning to slip occasionally

Sounds like a reasonable price for the first stage disc..
the pedal feel you will get use to it .. i never new what a atock 92-95 civic
clutch pedal felt like, so i can't compare.. had everything put in before i even
drove the vehicle..
i recommend it for daily
one other plus .. the local Ricer shop should have org disc instock all the tyme.
SHOULD

I have the HDSS in my car and I love it!

I drive my car to and from work every day and sit in traffic so I didn't want the XT PP... Plus, the torque numbers that ACT claims are pretty honest. The HDSS will hold 230ft/lbs and I am only at about 200whp right now, which is a lot less torque...

I think it's funny when people get the XTSS and aren't making 300+whp... unless you are making 300+, then get the HDSS...

Haha... I know a ricer that has an XTSS on his NA d-series! LoL..
