Default b16 turbo Qs searched couldnt find anything

Im wanting to turbo my 99 si, but had a few questins about what turbo to use. My friend has a brand new td05h turbo, its supposibly an evo 3 turbo. Just wandering if its a good turbo for a b16? If anyone has any info on the turbo please let me know. Also i would like to see some b16 setups.

i run the greddy tdo5h-18g on my 99 si and its nice. power wise its nothing too spectacular because its a smaller turbo. but for everyday driving and reliability its nice, i have beaten all but one mustang that i have raced so its still fast enough. but power wise its on the low side, if you want power do a t-3 or t-3/t-4 setup.

the tdo5h-18g is capible of making 15psi efficently up to 350-375hp.

depends where and who u get it from. i havent seen many 18g's selling by themselves, maybe thats just me. but yeah if u want power and if u can get it cheaper go with the t3/t4

got the greddy kit and it came with the blue box, its bullshit. i am going to be running a stand alone soon but not sure which one yet. the blue box is set for 5.5psi but i have been running it at 7psi and it seems to be holding up ok.

Does anyone run an obd2-obd1 conversion harness, and run uberdata? I could do that or just zdyne.

I'm not a fan of the conversion I would just run and obd2 system like hondata or aem, even a hack on low boost. I would also go for the t3/t4 just your standard 57 trim will make plenty of fun power on the street. If your looking for really good streetable power I'd go with a sc34or 44

Thats what i did and couldnt be any more happier!!!
I bought the Drag3 kit off of H-T and im very impressed. Im running 9psi, and on a dynoJet i got 245hp, 190tq. On a mustang dyno i got 213hp, 165tq.
Tuneing with uberdata is easy and sort of fun, im going to be data loging soon.

Actually a T3/T4 setup would be more expensive for him being that he would have to buy a new turbo manifold, new dp, an external wastegaste which he doesn't have. It would be the better setup to go with but it would cost quite a bit more.

I ran 10+psi with the blue box on my z6 turbo, ran fine. Better then this AFC hack bullshit. The throttle crossover kills me and hesitations sometime urk me. With the blue box it drove like stock.

^^ you ran 10 psi on blue box daily?? thats insane, did u have an O2 wideband or some kind or fuel pressure tuning, thats pretty insane considering people have leaned out on the blue box at just 7psi and blew motors and such. the blue box runs rich but still not that righ to bump it up 4.5psi. i've heard of people doing 8-9psi, but anything past that detonates. seriously 10psi

Uhh, no? You find me ONE dyno graph ( i wont even ask for 3) of an 18g making 375whp at 15psi (let alone 375whp period).

ON A HONDA MOTOR

And side note, the 18g is most efficient on a b16 at 14-18pounds. And it will still blow usefull air up through the low 20's
