I just recently put the B18C into my 98 EK. On top of the GSR intake manifold there is a spot for a sensor. What exactly is this sensor and how do I wire it to my EK engine harness?? Please help. Thanks.

I think you taking about the intake air temp sensor if you just extend your factor plug to reach. the other thing that would be up there is the egr purge sol. which the jdm motors didnt have.

 

I now just need to know what to splice the sensor to on my engine harness. I got the correct plug off the other engine harness. What do i splice it to on my car's engine harness? There is an unplugged plug coming off of my fuel rail...is that it?

What type of harness are you using?

 

I'm using my Civic EX harness

 

Didn't your EX motor have a IAT sensor? (I have a DX) You should be able to use your existing connection.

 

Ok call me dumb but if it had it what would it plug into on my SOHC motor? I'm not the best with wiring all the sensors up and i just wanna make sure I wire the correct ones. I have a wire that is coming off the fuel rail that isn't plugged into anything. The unplugged wire isn't one that goes with the fuel injectors...i think it is just run with them. Could that be the wire?

i believe i have it figure out. It is the Intake Air Temperture sensor and I've heard that i can just splice mine from my SOHC engine.
