Default Making studs to weld stuff to the body

Well, here's another question for my spare tire vault/tomb/crypt/whatever. My sub box is going to be partially in the tire compartment. Some of it will stick up and out. I'm going to need a way to anchor the box in REALLY well. I want it to be so secured that a crackhead will have to go for meth because he couldn't get my system out and trade it to the dealer... (of course he will be on meth and have gorilla strength when he comes back, but...)

I need some ideas for studs to hold the enclosure in. I can't just weld tubing or rod perpendicular to the sheetmetal and expect it to hold, so I'll need a "base" welded onto the sheetmetal and then the studs welded to that. Does anyone here have experience with that kind of thing? Does anyone make the female version of allthread, like a threaded rod? I might just weld some flat bar into triangular brackets and weld the brackets in, bolt the other side to put the enclosure at an angle, but I want to hear what you guys think before I do this, which will be probably this upcoming weekend.

thick bolts, cut off heads, weld, drill holes in threaded part after you screw the nut down and put little pad locks through the holes. itll be easy to cut the lock off, but itll stop some little punk with hand tools.
