Default Any benefit to throwing a JDM D15B head on a D16y8 block?

I have a broken D15b and was talking with my friend about his Y8 motor. I know the D15b has a hotter cam in it. Would compression be raised by using the D15b head? I know nothing of SOHC motors so any help or direction is appreciated. I thought there was a head/block comaprison around somewhere, can't see to find it. We're doing an auto-manual swap and throwing all my single cam parts on his Y8, so we're trying to maximize his sohc power with some OEM parts.
Thanks.

Depending on your headgasket, compression will drop from about 9.5:1 (y8 block and head) to about 8.5:1 (y8 block, d15b head).

No combination of any d-series block and head will yield higher compression than what the y8 longblock comes with, about 9.6:1.

Hmmmm, sounds good for Boost, and it doesn't get much worse for all motor. I guess the cam with new valvetrain and thinner HG is where we will stop.

A6 block with a z6 head makes compression 9.9:1

Oh yeah. Sometimes I forget about the D16A series. It's kind of a weird motor.

Anyway, just use this link to figure all this **** out:
