location of oil restrictor??????
just want to know where to put the oil restrictor: on the turbo or on the engine. i know i should just use a -3 line and fittings but i already have all the stuff needed to use a -4 line... i filled one of the fittings and drilled it to a smaller size... just not sure if putting it on the engine is the same as on the turbo? any info would be great, and yes i did search ( oil restrictor,, oil feed line, oil line, restrictor) if you know of another post please link it.......
I was thinking about this yesterday, oddly enough. A restrictor on the engine will clean up your setup, as well as allow a steady flow into the turbo. A restrictor on the turbo will shoot the oil directly onto the shaft, which might be better. If it was watercooled too, it probably wouldn't matter, but oilcooled-only, I'd go with the restrictor on the block.
