shifter sits up too close? HELP

Default shifter sits up too close? HELP

after reinstalling my shif linkage, my shifter sits way too close up. My 1st gear is above my cup holder, and 2,4,R is where neutral is suppose to be. Any idea what i did wrong? any help is appriciated

Take everything apart and re-do it.

If your dealing with an aftermarket shifter and its duel bend, you might have just orientated it the wrong way. Like Dimi said, only thing to do is fully take it apart and go through the install slowly.

hah i figured it out.. i had the shifter backwards, just turned it 180 degrees and it was all good.
