Default Question about sidemarker wiring???

I was wondering which way is the JDM way to wire up sidemarkers? People tell me that the having them on constantly when the lights are on and having them blink when you put on you signals is the right way but then people tell me that the right way is to have them flash when the signals are on? Which way is the right way?

I don't know about the JDM way, but the 'right' way is off while running, and flashing on with the directionals.

the JDM way is when the sidemarkers blink alternatly with the flashers..... to do this you must tap into red(parking light) and green(turn signal) wire.

I am going to get getting CTR headlights in a couple of days and I am going to be wiring the city light so that is the only thing on. Right now I have my sidemarkers wired up so that they are lit up when I have my corner lights on.Should I rewire my sidemarkers so they only come on when I signal?

you need relays and diodes to make the city lights turn off when headlights are turned on and side markers are only used as turn signals.

Ok. I guess I will rewire them so they are only used as turn signals. When I wire up my corner lights will they turn off when I turn my headlights on?

corner lights are just turn signals also. so you gotta clip the wire for parking lights

yea usually sidemarkers stay off, and only come on with your turn signals, although i wired mine up to stay on while driving, and they alternate with my turn signals, i think it looks pretty cool, but whatever floats your boat

I kinda like it to but I think it is going to look a little strange with the corner lights off and the city lights on.

Wire your city lights to teh corner lights that way when you have your parking lights on they are on and then when your head lights are on they are on as well. The only way around that that I know of is like someone else said more wiring and relays. I am going to wire my city lights like that and my side markers to only blink with the turn signals.

I am going to wire the city lights up so those are the only lights on, the corner lights and sidemarkers are going to be used just for signaling.

The JDM/EDM standard wiring is citylight in the main headlight housing. Corners and sidemarkers are only used for turnsignal. They're normally turned off.

My city-lights are wired to the parking lights (turn singal).

I run Catz Zeta headlight bulbs. They produce a purplish color of light. My citylight bulbs are PIAA GTX. They also have a purplish outout and match witht teh headlight color. I thought it was pretty neat.
