Default proper oil pump for ls vtec

Im running b16 oil pump on ls vtec and at idle my oil light comes on. Does the b16 oil pump have enough pressure for my oil feed and my ls-vtec oil line? As soon as I give it a little gas the light goes away.

From what i have understood, your supposed to use a 1.8 vtec oil pump for ls/vtec. Did you check the oil sensor? might be loose?

Well its where the engine harness plugs into the sensor is what i mean. if your looking at the motor from behind, its usually to the left of the filter. If anything it just may be going bad.
