Oil pump overkill..? Whats too much on a factory oil pump?
Just curious if this is to much for my oil pump.(OEM)
I have a golden eagle ls/vtec, a greddi oil filter relocater and 3 row oil cooler, and turbo oil feed..? Will this be to much for my stock oil pump.? I am also about to put on a 5.5 qt moroso pan..?
TIA

Type R oil pump is the exact same part as the GSR one. So what was the point of this comment?

Oil cooler here, oil filter relocation kit also. Upper 300whp.
I run it as a daily driver just fine.
If U live somewhere where it gets cold ( I don't) either get the thermo for the oil cooler or block off oil cooler during winter time.

I have a greddy filter adapter, and a three row oil cooler, and filter relocation kit on my d16z6 (no turbo feed though) and my oil pressure idles around 15psi when hot and as soon as I touch the gas it shoots up to over 80psi so if the lower flowing d16 oil pump can handle it I think you should be fine. The larger oil pan will just give you more reserve and probably prevent the oil from sloshing away from the pickup under accel/cornering. A larger pan won't affect your oil pump.
