If your Ls has an OBD2 like your ex has then it should be plug in play. I would get an ECU designed for the engine and maybe even a harness. Everything should be non vtec. You don't want to keep the same ECU you have and make the computer look for vtec when you have no connector to plug it in to.

Nothing needs to be converted. You need to transfer the Y8 harness onto the LS. You will have to extend a few plugs but that's it. The LS harness is useless for an EK chassis, sell it and make a few bux.

Exactly, always use your old harness.

are u LISTENING? u only need the ls ecu. not the ls harness. its because the EK harness was designed to plug into B series motor (2000 SI b16). all u need to do is extend some wires.

YOu will need motor mounts (99-00 SI motor, frame, and block mounts), axles (LS axles will do fine), LS ECU (if its an OBD1 motor then you will need an ECU jumper), and you'll need to modify your harness. Read the B sereis conversion walkthrough's in the FAQ sticky.

yep just extend the wires from the stock harness make sure you soder them together dont tape them. get the LS axles and 99 Si mounts and you said you have the LS ecu I take it, its the one thats from the motor so you should have everything that you need then. you have the LS shift linkage also your gonna need that you cant use your stock linkage.
