Default modifying oil pump for more pressure at idle?

Ive rebuilt a motor of mine and its experincing about 20psi low on oil.

Bearing clearances are perfect and ive checked damn near everything includeing the orphice.
Im guessing im leaking somewhere internally where i cant see. It is perfect on the outside and car runs and drives good.

My question is:

Ive heard of modifying an oil pump to get a little more pressure that i want at idle, and at WOT.

I read a post where someone said the check valve was stuck open and built insane pressure at idle.. Can I tweak mine out a little with a shim or something to build just a tad more?

This will compensate for my loss and everything will be all good

Can this be done?

What's the pressure at idle? The norm on a good working system is 15-20 psi after warm up.

Im running acl bearings. Ive checked damn near everything, I cant find anything blatantly wrong. I need to get this car on the road...

I have noticed on some engines that when you run the oil feed line to the turbo and a oil pressure sensor off the same port that it causes the gauge not to read anything at idle.
