Only getting 4psi :(
So after an exhausting 20 hours or so of work... test driving today, she runs great. Blew a charge pipe off, but got it all assembled and did it again. Purs like a kitten below 5500rpms (my personal max before I dyno tune it) but only gets up to 4.5psi or so. The wastegate has a 7psi spring, no MBC or anything. I am using a combination of hose clamps and T-bolt clamps... but any recommendations or procedures to check this would be great.
Try taking it from the manifold. You are only seeing 4 PSI because you are dropping several PSI through your intercooler and charge pipes, which is normal.
Yep, it starts building boost at 3,000rpm and makes 4.5psi at 4,000rpm.
Move it to the manifold?? Hmm, that's a good idea. I will try that tomorrow. Any other suggestions or backups appreciated.

Also -- I could barely hear the BOV. I don't know if this was because it was only 4psi or what... but it didn't flutter or anything like my last setup. Perhaps this information can verify something.
Damn I really suck with giving information tonight.
It's a 1g DSM BOV.
My neighbors WRX with recirculating BOV is louder than mine.

The 1g BOV is supposed to be recirculating, but... If you leave it open atmosphere you should be able to hear it when barely any boost builds up. No flutter, it just sounds like a rush of air.

There is a rush of air... it's just not as loud as my Prelude was.
Would a boost leak in the charge pipes cause this???

The blow off valve could just be leaking too. try capping it off or clamping a piece of flat plastic or something betwen the valve and charge pipe so it doesnt leak.

Used black silicon on it... but I will check tomorrow.
Can I connect my air compressor to the vacuum nipple on the BOV and check or....?

no i dont mean that its leaking between the flange and the valve. I mean that its not closing all the way or not seating correctly. Just plug it up and go drive to make sure.

Ok I'm not following you. You said clamp it between the charge pipe and the valve... woulsn't that be the flange there? What am I clamping then again?
Sorry, it's been a REALLY REALLY long past two days and I am way out of it.

Come on guys!!
I removed the vacuum source completely, and it finally goes past 5... sorta around 7 and then goes higher.
I really need some ideas.

It sounds like a boost leak to me. Start it up near the engine bay and give it some throttle, then see if you can feel air coming from anywhere. It's prob just a loost hose clamp or something

Think I already posted it, but it's a 50 trim .42/.48 T3.
BoostAddict -- I did that... I just blew a pipe running with no wastegate vacuum, and got it reconnected and tightened. The best I can get is 5psi.
