ac lines touching manifold.. and oil return question
i have the crfab manifold, and the ac line is touching the #2 runner.. can i wrap it with the silver wrap? or will it melt?

and what is the lowest i can go with an oil return fitting? (b18b1).. the downpipe gets in the way, and the way it bends kinda makes me nervous.. right now i'm thinking about putting it about 3/4" or so below the bolts.. how much lower do you think i can go before i hit the oil level? how much oil will be in the pan when the car is started?

i have the same problem on a different setup (SOHC, spoolingperformance, T3/ T4...) and my dumptube is actually running along the same line for about 3-4 inches. It's not a runner itself but I ordered some ceramic tape from mcmaster-carr in case I ran into this problem. It's rated at :0
2300 degrees :0
http://www.mcmaster.com page 3261 I haven't ran the car yet-just started with my project this morning at 10!
as far as the oil return, post some pics and i'm sure somebody will chime in.

if you want i can email you a pic, but you supposed to setup a return before you make the down pipe because the return is more important.

you should wrap a/c line regardless. are you able to move it to the right? then secure w/ wire/ziptie to something?
as for oil line, i'm not sure.. but what type of line is that? doesn't look like oil line. transmissoin oil line is not same from what i heard.. you want something oil resistant. if its not oil resistant, it will lead to other problems you didn't want to have.

This is pretty much correct... You might just have to take off the dp, set-up the oil return, and re-build the dp around the oil return... HTH...
