I got a garrett volvo t3 (oil/water cooled) out of a junk yard. At first it looked like it was a good turbo, no shaft play and spun with little effort. Then I took the housing off and there is cooked oil all over propeller....

Should I get a rebuild kit and fix it myself? take it to a shop and have them do it, or go bury the turbo in the backyard?

If you answer is take it to a shop Im open to any recomendations for the Socal or vegas area.
